Mini Coiled Cable Heaters
Proheat’s Mini Coil Cable Heaters offer a long life solution to precision heating applications such as hot runner systems. The hermetically sealed construction prevents moisture from entering the heater, resulting in very long life and long-term resistance stability. A standard resistance tolerance of +-2% produces excellent cavity to cavity repeatability in runner-less systems and is easier to control than more loosely toleranced heaters.
Proheat offers a variety of size, wattage and clamping options. Standard diameters include 12.7mm (0.500”), 19.05mm (0.75”) and 22.2mm (0.875”) in various lengths and wattage combinations (see standard sizes for additional sizes).

T2 Nozzle Heater
New technology offers a cost-effective alternative to traditional cable heaters.
The new T2 nozzle heater provides a cost-effective and reliable alternative to traditional cable heater technologies. Watlow went back to the drawing board to develop this advanced, innovative approach to heating solutions. The result of this effort is the T2, a low profile, robustly constructed nozzle heater which is ideal for runner-less systems; including two-stage PET preform applications.
The heater is constructed with an ultra-thin, thermally applied ceramic dielectric coating for rapid thermal response. This material, combined with additional layers of backside insulation and a double-walled sheath, provides even heat distribution and transfer by directing more energy through the substrate and directly into the body. The reduced heat loss results in a more efficient heater and less overall energy consumption.
The T2 heater is ideal for PET preform molding applications. The special tube-in-tube construction of the T2 makes the heater physically durable. High temperature leads and connections provide strong pull out strength plus a high degree of durability. Watlow’s new T2 also features a sliding clearance fit, allowing easy installation and removal of the heater and eliminating the need for additional clamping mechanisms, anti-seize or heat sink compounds.
